Silver Cascade
This cozy guest room at the top of the stairs in the 1893 portion of the main Inn has sliding glass doors leading onto a balcony with the highest viewpoint in the Inn overlooking the Ellis River and the mountains surround you. During the milder months, sit in Adirondack chairs on your balcony and enjoy the peaceful views and flow of the river. Decorated in pale silvery blue and light yellow, the room has a beautiful maple queen sleigh bed and gas-fired wood stove for toasty winter evenings. The private bath has a 5 foot double headed shower for two. (Full Breakfast is included every morning.)
Silver Cascade is a series of waterfalls descending Crawford Notch. Together with the neighboring Flume Cascade, they are easily seen from Route 302 just east of the Notch (about 30 minutes from the inn). You can enjoy the Cascades from the highway, park and hike, or even view them from the Conway Scenic Railway’s Notch Train.
