SPIRIT YOURSELVES AWAY to the GHOST & GOBLIN TRAIL
Who says Trick or Treat is just for kids? Get in the Halloween spirit with the Ghost and Goblin Trail Saturday, October 24, 2015. Don your best costume for spirit seeking (not required but why miss the fun, and there’s a prize for the best costume!), and take a self-guided tour of hauntingly historic inns and businesses in the Mount Washington Valley. You’ll be greeted by seasonal decorations at each stop where you’ll enjoy a treat ~or perform a trick to earn your treat if you don’t have a costume ~ while you gather clues to solve The Great Mystery Muddle of the White Mountains, a riddle and jumbled word contest. Clues to solve the Mystery are hidden within your tour booklet, along with tales of some ghostly spirits in the Mountains and recipes for treats you sample. Solve the Mystery and you are eligible for the Grand Prize drawing worth over $400 including a certificate for $200 toward a two-night stay at a participating inn, dinner at the Notchland Inn, a horse or carriage ride for two at the Farm by the River & Stables, and a bag full of fun prizes courtesy of the participating inns and businesses.
In addition to your two nights lodging, full gourmet country breakfasts, and afternoon refreshments, the package includes:
- Two tickets for the Ghost and Goblin Trail
- A bag for your treats ~ a gift from the inn
- Spirited recipes for treats from the tour
So let us spirit you away for a Halloween getaway ~ and don’t forget your costume!
