Stop traffic! Once a year Jackson Village closes its famous covered bridge so you can dance under the stars at our Covered Bridge Dance! Think of it as a block party on Jackson’s iconic bridge, so bring your dancing shoes when you make plans for your weekend getaway August 1 – 2, 2014! You’ll dance on a bridge built in 1876 using Paddleford trusses, and eligible to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s also known as the ‘Honeymoon Bridge’, so feel free to follow the centuries old tradition and steal a kiss from your sweetheart when no one is looking!
You’ll enjoy the music of Jon Sarty and the White Mountain Boys, whether you dance or just sit back and listen. Tables and chairs provided, or bring your own chairs, blankets, and friends! The Dance begins at 7 pm on Saturday evening, August 2, 2014, and admission is free thanks to Jackson area sponsors. Local Jackson businesses usually open Saturday evening will be open, and you can enjoy tasty food at the Dance catered by Sweeney’s Sensations, so come early and come hungry!
